What began as a “pastime with passion” that has now evolved into a full-service photography and design studio offering portraiture that is unique. Amanda’s one-of-kind style has gone on to earn industry awards and the role as cover photographer for the nationally-recognized family publication, Birmingham Parent.
Amanda’s work is not only found on the walls of Alabama homes, but also on billboards and print/online advertising, such as the recent St. Vincent’s East campaign. She also diligently contributes her time and talent to many non-profit efforts such as the UAB, the American Child Photographers Guild, the Alabama Heart Gallery, Casey’s Cause as well as varying causes throughout the community.
Amanda understands that, beneath it all, her clients come to her seeking images of their newborns, toddlers, older children and families that will embrace memories forever. Using not only her technical talent, but also the eyes and experience as a mother herself, she creates photography that provides a visual biography of your child for generations to come.
Amanda and her husband, John, live in the Riverchase community of Hoover with their three children, John Michael, David and Jacob.
My name is Amy Carson and I'm a Lifestyle, Wedding and Fashion photographer based in Birmingham Alabama.
Photography to me is more than posing for the camera, its about experiencing your love, happiness and joy while I capture it frame by frame. I want the images we create together to remind you of the feeling, not of the pose. I strive to make you feel comfortable and to have fun while your with me so that you have photographs you will love for the rest of your life!

Ashley is a portrait photographer who specializes in family, children and newborns. She likes to refer to her style as modern fine art. She will never miss an amazing moment just because it doesn't fit the "rules" of photography, but that doesn't mean that knowledge of lighting, composition, exposure etc is thrown out the window! Being a parent herself, she knows how precious those memories are and how much the little details and moments are treasured. When she isn't having fun shooting, she loves to travel and spend time with her husband and two boys.

Becky has worked with children for many years in so many different environments. Between working as a preschool teacher, volunteering with summer programs and even traveling to connect with children abroad, Becky’s life revolves around reaching out to kids…and making them feel special. She takes on this same mentality in her sessions – as every session revolves around your child and who they are. The children Becky works with sense this sincerity in her interaction with them and that’s how she is able to capture those images that portray the spirit of each individual life.
If Becky were to describe her photography style, she would use just 3 words: fun, simple, and contemporary. She uses only natural/available light for both indoor and outdoor sessions. She is an on-location photographer and will meet you at a place of your choice where she will utilize the natural settings to bring out the beautiful spirit of your child.
Currently residing in Birmingham, AL, Becky is married to her husband, Jason, of 8 years. She has 2 little girls that have become the source of her inspiration. Becky loves what she does and is grateful that God has blessed her with this talent and opportunity.

After having my babies, photography became more than just taking pictures. During my college years I had my first encounter with photography, film and dark rooms... it totally intrigued me and made me want to learn more and more.
I took more photography classes and I learned all about taking the perfect, follow the rules, technically correct, etc way to take pictures, but it wasn't until I had kids that something clicked in me and made me see the world around me in a different way.
Little moments became so powerful and with so much value for me that I re-learned to see through my view finder not with my eyes but with my heart. You'll see me often holding the camera away from my face and shooting, it's not what I see through the view finder what I want to capture but how it feels.
Capturing moments is what matters to me, I want to capture the love in a family more than anything.. I always think as if it was my family there and what I'd like to capture from them.. what I'd want to show my grandkids when I have them and as a mommy I want to capture the way we mommies see our kids.
If you are looking for the perfect, everybody looking at the camera with a fake smile, I'm not the photographer that you need. I want to capture how YOU are not how you look, I'll be here when you are ready.

Subtle expressions. Sweet interactions. Simple moments. As an artist, Heather seeks out opportunities to tell stories. She throws “say cheese” out the window and instead gives subtle direction which partners with genuine smiles and emotion to create images that tell the story of your family. With a background in architecture, Heather’s imagery strikes a balance between the creative and technical, and is decidedly modern. Heather encourages parents to relax and enjoy the process—this is a great time to soak in the beauty of your children, snuggle a little closer, and enjoy the moment while she captures meaningful exchanges and creates treasured fine art for your home.

Heather is a portrait photographer who specializes in contemporary photography of newborns, children and families using natural light. Although Heather has always had a love for photography, it was not until she had her own children that she became passionate about capturing the fleeting memories of childhood. Heather's goal as a photographer is to create images of your family that are not only beautiful, but also that preserve a moment in time. Her style is the juxtaposition of vintage and modern, serious and silly, classic but non-traditional. Heather strives to create pieces of art for your home that are both whimsical and real. Sessions with Heather are laid-back and fun and allow the children to be themselves.
Heather resides in Birmingham with her husband, Jason, and children Jack and Campbell. Heather enjoys traveling and vintage shopping in her spare (but rare!) time.
I am a wife to an amazing Godly man and a mom to two beautiful little girls and a precious baby boy. God and my family are the two most important things in my life. I have been truly blessed with such an amazing family as well as being able to pursue my passion of photography.
My interest in photography began when I was about 12 years old when my parents bought me my first camera. My Dad has always been a hobbyist, so naturally I followed right in his footsteps. Initially my interests were in landscape photography. It was not until my first daughter was born in 2006 that I had the overwhelming desire to capture every sweet moment with my camera. I quickly found out how important it was to capture those tiny sweet moments that pass by too quickly. My passion soon turned into a desire to capture those sweet moments for others and that is how it all got started. Besides being a wife and mommy, nothing else in life could make me happier!
My goal is to capture those sweet moments in your little one's life that pass by way too quickly. Thank you so much for your interest in Kim Sharit Photography.

Mary is natural light photographer who specializes in newborn, children and families. Mary has been passionate about taking photographs since her parents gave her first camera, a ZMENA in high school. For those of you not young enough to remember, those were the days before digital – when you had to pay for every roll of film and had no idea how the image would look until after you got the prints back :) She often photographed her friends and family during different event, but it was the birth of her son in 2008 that reignited her love for photography and capturing the precious and fleeting moments of family life. If you live in the Birmingham and surrounding area, she would love to have the honor of capturing those memories for you.
Ever since I can remember I have had a love for creating art. As a child I was always drawing or painting. Consuming every art class I could get my hands on in high school, my art teacher had to create a class for me and three other students during our senior year because there was none left for us to take. In college I continued with studies in Art and Architecture at Auburn University. My adventurous side kicked into high gear when I was gifted with a flying lesson for my birthday and my career path changed from Architecture to Aviation. Fifteen years later, following the birth of our two daughters I longed to soak in every bit of their childhood that I could, so I hung up my wings and picked up a camera. What started out as a way to document our growing family reignited my love for creating art. Photography is the perfect blend for my artistic and technical sides and my favorite subjects are the little ones that change us all.
